The prevention and control of infection is a priority for our team here in Marymount University Hospital and Hospice. The safety and wellbeing of our patients, residents, visitors, volunteers and staff is of the utmost importance.
Marymount ensures that all equipment utilised is cleaned, disinfected and maintained and that all care is provided in a clean, safe environment that minimises the risk of transmitting a healthcare-associated infection.
Telemedicine
Telemedicine, enables video or phone appointments between a patient and their health care practitioner, benefits both health and convenience. With telemedicine, you don’t have to drive to the hospital or clinic, park, walk or sit in a waiting room. You can see your healthcare professional from the comfort of your own bed or sofa. Virtual visits can be easier to fit into your busy schedule.
Where appropriate you may be offered a remote assessment by your healthcare professional via a video call.
