Visiting Times

Visiting Times

The Person in Charge (“PIC”) will make every reasonable effort to ensure that visits are not restricted. However, please note that restrictions may be imposed when necessary to protect the patients, residents, staff, students or other visitors.

Visiting Hours & Access

Normal visiting hours are from 2:00pm to 8:30pm daily.

The main doors close at 9:00pm sharp. Visitors needing access outside of regular visiting hours should speak with the Ward Manager or Duty Manager.

Children under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

In Services for Older People, each resident has nominated representatives who are permitted to visit at any time. Visitors for Services for Older People are required to sign in at the reception or ward upon arrival.

(In accordance with the Health Act 2007 (Care and Welfare of Residents in Designated Centres for Older People) Regulations 2013, Schedule 4: Item 12 all visitors must record their name in our Visitors’ Directory. Please use the iPad in each ward reception area to sign in and sign out).

Parking & Public Transport

Limited free parking is available on site for visitors. Alternatively, we are easily accessible via Bus Éireann Route 208, which operates between Ashmount and Curraheen, serving St Patrick Street and other key areas in Cork City.

  • Restrictions may be imposed in the event of infectious disease outbreaks or other public health concerns, following national guidelines.
  • Any visitor displaying aggressive, disruptive, or inappropriate behaviour may have their visiting privileges restricted or revoked.
