Marymount has a very busy schedule of events throughout the year with the following major campaigns.
Car Raffle Campaign
We are grateful to work with a local car dealership to sell tickets to a draw to win a brand new car. We have a presence at all agricultural and summer shows throughout Cork and the wider Munster area. If you would like to support Marymount by signing up to sell car raffle tickets, please get in touch today.
Sunflower Day – Together for Hospice – June
Each June we take part in Sunflower Day, a nationwide campaign run with Together for Hospice. Supporters can dedicate a virtual sunflower in memory of a loved one or get involved in local sunflower fundraising activities to help raise vital funds for Marymount and other hospices across Ireland. Every donation helps fund specialist palliative and hospice care all over Ireland and money raised locally, is used locally – meaning all donations made in Cork go directly to supporting families using Marymount’s services.

Coffee Morning Campaign – Ireland’s Biggest Coffee Morning – September
Each year we take part in Ireland’s Biggest Coffee Morning for Hospice — part of the national Bewley’s Big Coffee Morning Social for Hospice — with hundreds of coffee mornings organised throughout Cork to support Marymount and specialist care locally. Whether you host in your home, workplace or community group, it’s a great way to bring people together for a good cause. We supply all required materials and, of course, the coffee!

In addition, the Lady Mayoress’ Coffee Morning in Cork City Hall is an annual autumn fundraiser supporting Marymount — all proceeds help deliver palliative care services in Cork.
Giving for Living Radiothon – Cork’s 96FM – May
Every year in May Cork’s 96FM Giving for Living Radiothon raises vital funds for local cancer and care services including Marymount Hospice, Mercy Hospital Foundation, Cork University Hospital Charity, ARC Cancer Support House and Breakthrough Cancer Research. The three-day broadcast encourages listeners and communities across Cork to donate online or take part in fundraising activities, with all proceeds shared between the five charities.

Light Up a Life – Christmas
Each year we ask people to support our Light Up a Life campaign by sponsoring a light on our physical Christmas tree in Marymount in memory of a loved one or to make a dedication online on our online memorial tree.
